The I2D2 team has released a new brief, “Early Head Start: Positive Outcomes for Children in Iowa’s Programs.”
The brief examines Early Head Start participation among Iowa children using integrated administrative data from public health, education, and Head Start programs. Findings show that children who participated in Early Head Start had stronger language, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills than similarly eligible children who did not enroll. Longer enrollment was also associated with stronger cognitive and literacy skills.
