This fall, the I2D2 team and collaborators shared new insights across the early care and education field. I2D2 Director Heather Rouse presented at the 2026 International Population Data Linkage Network Conference on using integrated data to improve estimates of child care demand, particularly in rural communities. The team also published new insights examining early care and education participation among Iowa children and patterns of ECE experiences from birth through age five. In addition, I2D2 released a new policy brief highlighting the benefits of Iowa’s Early Head Start program and its role in supporting children’s development.
